Information We Collect

- driver licence details and identity information;
- employment, income, expenses, housing, and dependant details;
- finance preferences, vehicle type, loan amount, and loan term;
- next-of-kin or referee contact details you provide;

Why We Collect It
We collect and use personal information to:
- respond to enquiries and process finance applications;
- assess finance needs, suitability, and affordability information;
- verify identity and help prevent fraud;
- obtain credit-reporting information where authorised;
- submit applications to lenders and service providers;
- meet legal, regulatory, record-keeping, and dispute-resolution obligations;
- improve our website, advertising, and customer experience;
- send marketing only where we have appropriate consent or another lawful basis.
Credit Reporting
If you apply for finance, we may collect and share information with credit reporters, lenders, and related service providers for credit assessment, identity verification, fraud prevention, and loan administration. Credit reporters in New Zealand include Centrix, Equifax, and Experian.

Indirect Collection
From 1 May 2026, New Zealand's new IPP3A notification rule applies when an agency collects personal information from someone other than the person concerned. If we collect information indirectly, we will take reasonable notification steps unless an exception applies.
If you give us another person's information, such as next-of-kin details, please make sure they know you have provided their details to Udrive and that we may contact them for application-related purposes.
Who We May Share It With
We may share personal information with:
- lenders and credit providers who may assess or provide finance;
- credit reporters, identity verification providers, and fraud-prevention providers;
- email, form, CRM, cloud hosting, analytics, and advertising technology providers;
- professional advisers, insurers, dispute resolution schemes, regulators, and law enforcement where required or permitted by law.
Some service providers may store or process information outside New Zealand. Where this happens, we will take reasonable steps to protect the information.
Cookies, Analytics, And Advertising
This website may use cookies, analytics tools, and advertising pixels to understand website use, measure advertising performance, and build advertising audiences. This may include tools from Meta, Google, and similar providers once configured.
We will only upload customer-list audiences or use direct marketing lists where Udrive has the necessary rights, permissions, and lawful basis to do so.
Marketing And Unsubscribing
Commercial email and TXT messages will identify Udrive and include a clear way to unsubscribe where required. We will honour unsubscribe requests as required by New Zealand's anti-spam rules.
Security, Retention, Access, And Correction
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information from loss, unauthorised access, use, modification, disclosure, or other misuse. We keep information only for as long as it is needed for lawful business, legal, regulatory, dispute, and record-keeping purposes.
